We enjoyed our stay
Briar and Shaun are fantastic hosts with a beautiful house. The bedrooms have their own ensuite and are really lovely. Bear in mind that this is a true B & B and the bedrooms are not separate from the main house. We enjoyed our stay and very much enjoyed breakfast each day.

Shaun & Briar
Originally from Tauranga, we both knew we would eventually move to the South Island – it was just a matter of what town and what to do.
We initially visited the Mackenzie Country while on holiday in early 2019, and it's fair to say that we instantly fell in love with the region. With its breath-taking views, close-knit communities and endless activities, Mackenzie Country was where we wanted to be.
Later in the year, we made the move to Allandale Lodge near Fairlie. The history and character of the lodge had us both in awe from the first time we viewed it. Originally an old schoolhouse built c.1911, it's since been converted into a bed and breakfast where up to 4 guests can stay. Situated in a rural setting, overlooking nearby mountains, Allandale Lodge provides a place to relax and unwind.
We welcome you to Allandale Lodge Bed & Breakfast and look forward to sharing our slice of New Zealand's paradise with you during your stay.
